What does this extension do?
It patches the Appearance Manager so that you can set the minimum font
smoothing size to a value lower than 12 points. It actually sets the lower
bound to 6 points, since you probably cant read anything smaller!
Notes
Information on how to make the hack "permanent" are included in v1.0.1.
Your smaller font smoothing settings are saved between reboots in v1.0.1.
This software requires a PowerPC processor. It does not work with
the 68K Appearance Extension.
Virtual memory does not need to be turned on in order to use this software.
This patcher is "smart." It should work for past and future
versions of MacOS, assuming no major changes are made to the
SetThemeFontSmoothing function. :^)
